Where is My Dream Man?
By-Amanda D. Petty
A stranger drives my stares to these overwhelming eyes,
Awaken my dreams with a powerful, passionate voice,
A body of a soldier, steady and strong, walks into my life,
A touch of an angel, soft and slow, touching my world.
~*~
Can you see me behind this handicapped?
Can you hear my silent screams to your heart?
Can you love me, my disability, my needs?
Can you, please, find me through the millions?
Can you?
~*~
A broken breath takes in the beauty,
A true saint aide my Spirit flies to ecstasy,
A longing hand reaches for my heart,
A gentle sound saying my name.
~*~
Can you love me, the real me?
Can you fall for a disabled lady?
Can you imagine yourself with me?
Can you understand me?
Can you?
