A Promise to You
By-Amanda D. Petty
How can you say that I don’t love you?
Long, lonely decades with broken souls, blue hearts, restless moons, black suns, we’ve been seeking for each other. I know making a vow is huge. But, doubts and fears are replaced with sweet love, happiness, and you.
Sweetie, here’s my promise to you and only you.
No more crying of sadness because I will be here to make you laugh with my silliest, little jokes, funny faces I make. Call me when you’re cold and I will warm you up with my touch, smile, my heart. I’m your angel who needs her man to fly to heaven. Call me when you want to go to paradise, just investigate in my eyes, you’re already there. Text me with an emoji on how you’re feeling, and I’ll be the same emotion because whatever you feel, I feel it also. You have a very unique way with me that no other guy had. What I feel is not love; it is way more than love. I know my life is not easy. There will be times that are beyond difficult. In those hours, I need you. We, you and I, will be crying because of my pains. But, I know, I JUST know, you can handle it because in your eyes, I’ll find the strength that I need.
So, how can you say that I don’t love you?
Love, my sweet Love, I wish you could walk into my soul and see how much you’ve touched it. Within a day, I was falling for you. Now, I can’t live without you. You are my movement, my sight, my taste, my air, my speech, and I truly do love you.
I promise that I will not leave you.
