You Aren’t A Guy
By-Amanda D. Petty
Yesterday, we talked. It was wonderful because love has slowly returned into my body. You told me that you’re just a man. Honey, I thought about what you said. And, you are wrong because:
You aren’t a guy.
You are my prince.
The only one I dream about.
You’re my baby,
My love,
My sweet air,
My angel.
The one I see my future with.
I wish you could see what I see; when I look at you. It’s amazing how you could write a simple song and I’m lost in love with you still. I’ve tried to move on but I can’t.
You have my life.
The soul that I once had.
You are my eyes.
The heavens I call home.
You are my song.
The heart that was mine is yours.
You are my mind.
Everything is now you.
I need you in my life. I told you that I’d wait for you. And, I am. Call me crazy. I don’t care anymore because I’ve got an internal love for you.
Don’t think that you’re just a man.
You’re my angel.
